What you'll need

An account with the assistant you connect: Claude (free plan or better), ChatGPT (Plus or better), Grok (free plan or better). Claude and Grok work on their free plans; ChatGPT needs Plus or better, because its connector support isn't on the free tier.

What's MCP?

MCP - the Model Context Protocol - is a small, open standard that lets an AI assistant talk to outside tools safely. Your croft is one of those tools. You don't need to understand how it works: you paste one link into your assistant's settings, sign in once, and from then on "build me an app that…" ends with a working link on your croft.

The same link works for any assistant that speaks MCP. Connect more than one if you like - they all build onto the same croft, behind the same login.

Tip · Tool permissions

When your assistant asks about tool permissions, choose "Always allow." Croft always keeps your apps behind your login, so this just lets your assistant build, deploy, and fix things without stopping to ask you at every step.
