Set up Grok.
Grok connects to your croft as a custom connector. It's a one-time setup - after that, just chat. Works on the Grok free plan or better, and the same connector works for both Grok.com and Grok Build.
Copy-paste setup for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT, Grok, and any MCP
client — then create_app → write_files →
deploy.

Connect from Grok.com

Go to Plugins
In Grok, go to Plugins.

Click New Connector
Click New Connector.

Select Custom connector
Choose Custom connector.

Add Croft's details
Set the name to Croft and the URL to
https://mcp.oncroft.net. -
Save and authorize
Click Save. Grok will prompt you to authorize it to connect to Croft. Click Authorize and you're done.
Croft always keeps your apps behind your login, so "Always allow" just lets Grok build, deploy, and fix things without stopping to ask you at every step. It can't expose an app to the world - the login sits in front of everything, always.

Connect from Grok Build
Grok Build uses the same connector settings as Grok.com, so once you've connected on the web, you're done. If you prefer to set it up from the terminal, follow these steps:

Type
/mcpsIn the Grok Build terminal, type
/mcpsto open connector settings. -
Press Ctrl + O
Press Ctrl + O. This opens your browser to the Grok.com Connectors page.

Follow the Grok.com steps
In the browser, follow the same steps above: click New Connector, select Custom connector, name it Croft, set the URL to
https://mcp.oncroft.net, save, and authorize. -
Return to the terminal and verify
Back in the Grok Build terminal, type
/mcpsagain. Croft should now show as connected and ready.
Connected. Now describe an app in Grok and it lands on your croft.
