Set up Cursor.
Build on your croft from the editor you already live in. Cursor talks to Croft over MCP, so its Agent can create apps, write files, and deploy straight to your private server — behind your login, with full control of the code.
The quickest way to get Cursor building is the official Croft agent plugin. One step gives Cursor the Croft tools and the know-how — the golden path for building and deploying — so it builds the right way from the first message. Get the plugin
Or wire it up by hand
Prefer to add it yourself? Point Cursor at Croft's MCP server. Two minutes, once.
-
Add Croft to your MCP config
Open (or create)
~/.cursor/mcp.jsonfor all projects — or.cursor/mcp.jsonin a single project — and add Croft as a server:{ "mcpServers": { "croft": { "url": "https://mcp.oncroft.net" } } } -
Enable it in Cursor
In Cursor Settings → MCP (Tools & Integrations), find croft and toggle it on. You'll need Cursor 1.0 or later for remote-server OAuth.
-
Sign in to your croft
Cursor opens a browser to sign in with your passkey. Each person authenticates as themselves over per-user OAuth — every request is scoped to their workspace and role. No shared keys, nothing pasted into the file.

Find your croft's exact link in your dashboard under Connect an AI assistant.
So Cursor's Agent can build, deploy, and fix without stopping at every step, allow the Croft tools to run automatically. It's safe: Croft always keeps your apps behind your login, so the Agent can't expose one to the world — the sign-on sits in front of everything.
A video guide is on the way. For now these text steps get you building — and the agent plugin is the shortcut.
That's it. Open Cursor's Agent and say "build me an app that…" — it ships to your croft.
