Getting started
Croft is where the apps you build with AI live. You connect an assistant once, then build by chatting — no code, no setup. Here's the whole flow.
1. Get your croft
Sign up and pick a name. A couple of minutes later your private server exists, with your own login page and an empty apps list. Get your croft →
2. Connect your assistant
Croft speaks MCP — the common language AI assistants use to work with outside tools. Paste your croft's connection link into Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok once, and it can build straight onto your croft. Setting up the MCP →
3. Describe the app
Now just say what you want: "Build me a cash-flow forecast the three of us can update." Your assistant writes it, deploys it, and hands you a link — live, on HTTPS, behind your login. Change your mind next month? Open a chat and ask for the change; it edits the app and redeploys.
4. Grab a prompt to start
Not sure what to ask for? The prompt library has ready-made prompts for rosters, invoices, cash-flow forecasts, surveys, and more — including automations. Copy one, paste it into your connected assistant, and tweak the wording to match how you actually work.
5. Invite your people
Add the people you trust by email, and pick which apps each can open. They sign in with a passkey — nothing to remember — and every app they're allowed to use already knows who they are. See roles & permissions for exactly who can do what.
