Where your data lives

Every app runs on your own private server — a real machine in a professional data centre, managed by us but yours in every meaningful sense. Each app keeps its data in its own database on that server, isolated from every other app, and never in a shared pool with anyone else's.

Backups & rollbacks

Every change streams continuously to encrypted, off-site storage, with a second nightly snapshot on top — so we can restore to a point in time, not just to last night. Every deploy is reversible, too: if an update from your assistant isn't right, roll the app back to how it was a moment ago in one click.

Taking everything with you

Your apps are yours to take, any time. Cancel and we hand you a single export containing every app's code, its database, and its uploaded files — packaged as a standard Docker setup, so you (or any developer) can run it on your own machine or hosting. No proprietary format, no lock-in. Leaving should be boring.

What if Croft disappears?

You'd still have everything that matters: that same single export of your apps' code, databases, and files, which any developer can run with Docker. We're building Croft to last — but you shouldn't have to take our word for it, so we made sure you don't.
